D.M.A. conducting students Maxim Kuzin and Stephen Karr lead the UCLA Symphony in a program featuring the rarely performed and exciting Overture to “Taras Bulba” by the Ukrainian composer Mykola Lysenko, followed by two of the most popular and beloved orchestral works, Ravel Suite from “Ma Mère l’Oye” and Elgar’s “Enigma” Variations.

This concert was made possible by the David and Irmgard Dobrow Fund. Classical music was a passion of the Dobrows, who established a generous endowment at The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music to make programs like this possible. The school is proud to celebrate this program as part of the 2017-18 Dobrow Series.

Parking for Schoenberg Hall is in Structure 2. Find maps and parking rates here.
