Musicologist Phil Ford has published a variety of articles that revolve around postwar American popular music, including jazz and film music. He is particularly interested in American cold war culture, and published his first book, Dig: Sound and Music in Hip Culture, in 2013. He is also the co-author of the blog Dial ‘M’ For Musicology, and he is currently working on a book that focuses on magical and occult styles of thought.
