A world premiere workshop presentation of two new one-act operas by UCLA composers.

Opera UCLA presents the premiere workshop readings of two new one-act operas by UCLA PhD in Composition candidates. Michel Klein's moving and beautiful AKEIDAH, based on the biblical story of Abraham and Isaac, is paired with Nicky Sohn and Amanda Hollander's brilliantly comic THE EMPEROR'S NEW CLOTHES.

Four performances: March 1, 2, 3 & 4 at 8pm.

Made possible by the David and Irmgard Dobrow Fund. Classical music was a passion of the Dobrows, who established a generous endowment at The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music to make programs like this possible. We are proud to celebrate this program as part of the 2017-2018 Dobrow Series.

Parking for the Ostin Music Center is in Parking Structure 2. Find maps and parking rates here
