Sometimes musical performances offer more than just beautiful compositions, and that’s the case with Polonaise-Fantasie, the Story of a Pianist. This recital-monologue is an autobiographical story of UCLA Head of Piano, Inna Faliks. It celebrates the recently released Delos Label CD, recorded at the school of music's state of the art recording studio. Her story will appeal to anyone who can relate to the trials that come with immigrating to a new country while trying to make their way in the world of music. With music from Bach to Chopin to Gershwin, Polonaise-Fantasie is an unforgettable coming of age story told as only Faliks can.

Made possible by the David and Irmgard Dobrow Fund. Classical music was a passion of the Dobrows, who established a generous endowment at The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music to make programs like this possible. We are proud to celebrate this program as part of the 2017-2018 Dobrow Series.
