The UCLA Gluck Brass Quintet is a newly formed group consisting of four graduate students and one freshman undergraduate, all music majors at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music. The brass quintet is a modern style of chamber ensemble that appeared in the mid-20th century and has roots in classical and folk chamber traditions from around the world. In its current configuration, the quintet  was designed to allow the members of the brass family to explore their musical capabilities as a group, as well as shine individually as soloists. Coached by Jens Lindemann, former member of the Canadian Brass, the UCLA Gluck Brass Quintet draws from repertoire new and old, from classical to jazz to pop.
